Two friends spent a decade with an idea for what a surfhouse could be, but never found a place that felt just right for it. Then a trip to Thulusdhoo and a conversation with a local Maldivian surfer who shared the same vision brought ONA Surfhouse to life.
Malik is a Maldivian surfer, surf photographer and ocean professional with over a decade of experience in the surf industry. His work spans surfing, photography, guiding and travel, shaped by years in the Maldives and in international surf destinations. His approach is rooted in a genuine connection to the ocean, surf culture and the life that surrounds it.
With Portuguese and British roots and a life shaped by the Algarve, Jorge brings together more than a decade of experience across hospitality, business leadership, community building and experience-led brands, all tied together by a deep connection to the ocean.
Grew up surfing in Portugal with Jorge, now fights for space in California’s crowded lineups. Guy looks after the brand, the house’s own voice, and brings the visuals to life across the website and socials. He has built companies before - this is the first one he’ll be staying in through the surf season.
